Jai Jinendra, dear kids!
What amazing enthusiasm you all showed!
We were absolutely thrilled to see your energetic participation in Dharam Shiksha Class 5.
Today’s class was a beautiful reminder of the timeless values that form the foundation of our Jain Dharma. We took a deeper dive into the Navkar Mantra through fun question-and-answer sessions, discovering how it helps us live a more peaceful, kind, and meaningful life.
But before we jump into the questions we discussed, let’s rewind and recall the poem we chanted on the Navkar Mantra. It’s a fun and easy way to remember the gunas (qualities), colours, and teachings of the Panch Parmesthi!

After beautifully recalling the poem, we moved on to revisiting the questions and answers. This helped the students deepen their understanding of Navkar Mantra.
Q1 : What are the other names for Navkar Mantra and why are they called so?
Ans : Navkar Mantra is called by a few other names as well such as-
Mahamantra Navkar - We bow down to all the great souls of this lok. Its not confined to a single person or god. Thats why its called Mahamantra
Navkar Mantra - This mantra has 9 pads as we discussed in the last class, 5 main pads and 4 manglacharan.
Panch Parmeshthi - We bow down to the 5 categories of enlightened beings - Arihant Prabhu, Sidhh Prabhu, Aacharya ji, Upaddhyay ji, Sadhu ji.
Namaskar Mantra - Its a five fold namaskar to the 5 supreme beings.
Namokar Mantra - The first word of the five pads is Namo, hence this name.
Q2 : Why is chanting the Navkar Mantra so powerful?
Ans : When we chant the Navkar Mantra, our mind becomes calm, our heart feels peaceful, and we get positive energy. It helps us feel brave, kind, and focused — like little spiritual superheroes!

Q3 : Why do we bow to Arihants first and Siddhas second?
Ans : We bow to Arihants first because they are living souls who have conquered anger, ego, and greed — just like champions who are still helping others on Earth! Siddhas come second because they have reached the final stage of peace and happiness — they are free souls who live in Siddha Shila forever.
So we respect Arihants first for showing us the way, and Siddhas second for reaching the goal!
Q4 : Who are the most in number, who are the purest, and who don’t have a body?
Ans :
• Most in number? ➤ Siddhas! They are infinite in number!
• The purest? ➤ Siddhas! Their souls are totally pure — no anger, no ego, nothing bad at all!
• Who don’t have a body? ➤ Siddhas again! They’ve left their body behind and now live as pure souls in Siddha Shila.

Q5 : Who can chant the Navkar Mantra, when, and where?”
Ans : Anyone can chant it — kids, parents, teachers, everyone!
You can chant it anytime — morning, evening, even before sleeping!
And you can chant it anywhere — at home, in school, while traveling, even in your heart!
Fun Time: Navkar Mantra Symbol Game!
After our Q&A session, we played a joyful game to remember the five great beings (Pancha Parmesthi)!
Each Pad (Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyay, Sadhu) was given a special symbol. When a name was called out, kids had to quickly show the correct symbol — like a flash round of spiritual charades!
The class was full of energy and smiles as everyone eagerly remembered the names and matched them with the right symbols. What a fun way to learn and play together! The room was filled with laughter, learning, and lots of excitement. And guess what? The fastest and most accurate kids won prizes! Their happy faces made the moment even more special.
Learning about dharma has never been so much fun!

Magical Story Time: The Power of the Navkar Mantra!
To end our session on a high note, the children listened to a beautiful story about the power of Navkar Mantra. Their eyes lit up with wonder as they learned how this powerful mantra can bring peace, protect us from fear, and guide us to do the right things.
The story of Amar Kumar ji is now shared on our Dharam Shiksha Instagram page so everyone can read and feel inspired again and again!

Don’t forget to check it out and share the magic with your family and friends!
Finally, with your exams behind you, you didn’t just show up—you fought through your Antaray Karmas and made your way to class with such joy and dedication! In fact, we’re pretty sure you even shed a few layers of Gyanavarniya Karma just by attending! 😊
You all truly deserve a big round of applause!
And how do we celebrate in our class?
“Harsh Harsh, Jai Jai!”
Keep shining, keep learning, and keep walking on the path of Dharma!
